Se croire à l'abri, Centre d’art Jacques-et-Michel-Auger, Victoriaville (Québec) Canada 2018

The work constructed from a cage takes us back to our safety obsession by evoking a place of absolute protection that ensures our safety, but could also be interpreted as an apparatus that restricts access.

Set up in the public space, this work powerfully highlights the contradictions we must face daily. At first glance, a wire mesh safety enclosure is simply put on the sidewalk. This mysterious container holds a more disturbing content.
