"La colección", Gérard-Ouellet Cultural Center, Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Québec (Canada) 2013 

“La colección” is a site-specific installation. In the continuation of my work that integrates moments from daily life and the fleetingness of movement, I create fragments of history via the use of personal items. Here, evoking the theme of movement linked to the notion of time as well as a playful use of the featured objects is at the heart of each assemblage.  

An incongruous pile of knick-knacks, old items, a panoply of ordinary objects that have been used over time, collected from here and there; symbolizing the many possessions that we acquire over a lifetime, some of which pass from one generation to another.

The question of time is put forth through this accumulation of cumbersome objects that have lost their sense or importance, which we no longer recognize or that we hold outside of our field of vision.
