La canopée, Bibliothèque de Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal (Québec) Canada - 2018

The intervention hanging over the visitors’ heads creates a canopy that filters light, as the sun peeking through the tree leaves.

This organic structure built around pillars, interlaced and integrated from the existing framework, also represents the labyrinth-like weaving of a bird’s nest in a tree. The intervention setup emphasizes the structural reality of the work, in a sort of organic spirit evoking long walks in the forest.
