Que nos rodea, Ernesto Farina Gallery, Ciudad de las Artes, Córdoba (Argentina) 2012

Born from an artist residency focused on researching public political demonstrations, makeshift encampments, and the grassroots takeover of public spaces (tomas de sitios públicos), this exhibition serves as a laboratory where I experiment with various ways of hybridizing materials to create sporadic, organic scenarios. From a profusion of objects selected through the total precedence of chance, I manufacture improbable narratives by prompting unexpected encounters with remnants and industrial debris, elevating structural instability into a primary artistic device and a political statement. The physical precariousness of these amalgams directly echoes the makeshift architectures found in public protests and collective survival strategies. The artwork thrives on a continuous dialogue between the gallery's objective cartography and my own vibrant plastic subjectivity. By turning visitors into active participants through their own wanderment, my physical occupation of space replicates the spatial friction of barricades and sit-ins, standing as an act of resistance against commodification and a powerful assertion of identity within the shared territory.
